If there’s anyone who has made the mellifluous Urdu language more accessible in Bollywood, it would be Javed Akhtar. The poet, lyricist and screenwriter is the recipient of the Padma Shri (1999), Padma Bhushan (2007), Sahitya Akademi Award as well as five National Film Awards.
