The project that the actor was talking about was Gulshan Kumar’s biopic Mogul, the director of which, Subash Kapoor, was accused of molesting a woman. Aamir Khan was to produce the film along with T Series.
Geetika Tyagi, who accused Subhash Kapoor of sexual harassment tweeted:
This is COMMENDABLE and this is the kind of support we want so that more and more women can come out. Thank you @aamir_khan thank you #KiranRao #TimesUp #MeTooMovement https://t.co/dIDr88Mh9L

A leading daily had contacted the producer of T Series, Bhushan Kumar about Aamir leaving the movie, to which he said:
“He (Aamir) doesn’t want to work with Subhash Kapoor because of his unfinished case.”
When asked whether T-Series will work with Subash Kapoor to this Bhushan told to the leading daily:
“No.. We won’t. We are not making (the film) with him.”
Well, it’s a proud decision taken by Bhushan Kumar and Aamir Khan.
