At the song launch of Ae Watan from Raazi, Alia Bhatt shared her views and opinion regarding the Kathua case.
This evening at the song launch of Ae Watan from Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi, actress Alia Bhatt was asked about her opinion regarding the Kathua case. The Kathua case is the case of an eight-year-old Asifa Bano being kidnapped, raped and then murdered.
When talking about it she said,
“I don’t think only Bollywood mai narazgi hai, I think pure country mai narazgi hai. Logo ki on a humanitarian level aur narazgi hai.”
She continued,
“It is a very disgraceful, shameful, terrible thing that’s happened. As a girl, as a woman… as a human being…as a resident and as a part of this country I feel very bad and very hurt that something like this has happened.”
She elaborated more saying,
“I really hope from my heart that justice is served.”
She concluded saying,
“We should go out there and condemn it because this cannot be happening to us constantly.
