Actors Angad Bedi and Diljit Dosanjh are currently shooting for a biopic on former Indian hockey skipper, Sandeep Singh titled as ‘Soorma’.
They have been shooting continuously for the film in Shahabad a small village in Punjab. The film is entirely based on the life and struggles of Sandeep Singh, which is being played by Diljit Dosanjh. Angad Bedi plays the character of Sandeep’s elder brother Bikramjeet Singh.
Both the actors closely observed and adapted the lifestyles of the real brothers Sandeep and Bikram to get the right emotions onscreen.
Their collaboration during the shoots infused a very positive atmosphere to work. Counterparts Angad and Diljit were often seen breaking into practicing hockey and working out with Sandeep and Bikramjeet on the sets. It was a pleasant sight on the sets looking at the real-life avatars Sandeep and Bikramjeet interacting with the reel avatars Diljit and Angad.
Soorma is all set to release in June 2018. It also features actor Taapsee Pannu opposite Diljit, who will be seen playing a hockey player as well.
