Badhaai Ho, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta, released last year. This comedy-drama was loved and appreciated by critics and audience alike. The film was recently awarded the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment award at the 66th National Awards.
While we are all praise for the film, here’s some good news for the fans. We have got to know that the sequel of the film will be coming soon. As of now, the movie is titled Badhaai Ho 2.
According to a source:
“The script has been locked, and the makers are on the lookout to finalise on the cast. The second instalment will revolve around the shenanigans of a joint family and two young couples. It will take off next year.”

After Badhaai Ho won an award, Neena Gupta said:
“Yes I am very happy, I had forgotten the National Film Awards weren’t held till now. They are late this time because of elections. Suddenly I came to know about them from Twitter and I couldn’t believe it we got two awards…three awards in a way. I will say three because Ayushmann bhi hume apna hi lagta hai, who got the Best Actor for Andhadhun. I am so happy.”
Expressing his happiness on AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho winning at the 66th National Awards, the actor expressed his feelings by sharing a beautiful poem on his social media account.
