Christopher Robin is a story that encircles the life of a grown-up Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) who now lives in London and fathers a family of two, his wife Evelyn (Hayley Atwell) and daughter Madeline (Bronte Carmichael). Just a day prior to his important meeting in office he is visited by his childhood friend Winnie the Pooh, who needs Christopher’s help to find his friends Winnie the Pooh / Tigger (Jim Cummings), Eeyore (Brad Garrett), Piglet (Nick Mohammed), Rabbit (Peter Capaldi), Kanga (Sophie Okonedo), Roo (Sara Sheen), Owl (Toby Jones). Since Christopher helped him find his friends and defeat Heffalump so when Christopher needed help, he along with his buddies runs to London.
Lot of physical comedy involving the animals tripping and falling and wreaking minor havoc are for sure expected in the movie. There’s a strong theme of being grateful for your life/those you love, as well as the importance of compassion, teamwork, play, friendship, imagination, and parent-child relationships but at a slow pace.
We give Christopher Robin 3.5 buzzing bees.
And a pot full of honey for Pooh! 😉
