Director Surender Reddy’s Telugu movie Dhruva, starring Ram Charan, Arvind Swamy and Rakul Preet Singh, has received a surprisingly good reception from the audience.
Dhruva is an action thriller movie and is a remake of hit Tamil film Thani Oruvan. Based on a police officer determined on arresting a rich and dirty criminal, the movie has a normal story but comes with a very smart screenplay. While the film begins very slowly, the narration becomes intense and fast-paced towards the second half. After the interval, the movie is high on action quotient and the climax is will not disappoint.
Ram Charan gives an admirable performance and impressed with his macho look and superhero stunts. Arvind Swamy who returns as the antagonist in the remake does justice to it. You’d expect Ram Charan to be the hero but it is Arvind who steals the show. Rakul Preet Singh’s chemistry with Ram Charan is adorable but nothing we haven’t seen before.
Overall, the producer of Dhruva has made sure that the movie has rich & great production values. Hip-hop Tamizha’s songs and background score, beautiful picturization, exotic location, thrilling action scenes, hard-hitting dialogues are the main attractions of the Dhruva.
