Downsizing is an excellent example of an excellent idea which isn’t executed well. The film is about downsizing people to 5 inches (yup, you heard that right) as a solution to overpopulation. It raises some really pertinent questions about how we are causing problems to our planet and might soon be extinct. But it’s too long and fails to convey convincingly. Matt Damon & Hong Chau act wonderfully. Overall, it’s a confused, inconsistent watch. We give the film 2.5 buzzing bees.
