The most balanced and dignified contestant of Bigg Boss house, Gaurav Chopraa, has made a shocking exit from the house last night. He entered the house with a lot of positivity and lived each day on his own terms. His principles and actions were often misconstrued by his fellow housemates and also got him the label of Gaurav Chopraa the actor.
During his tenure inside the house, Gaurav shared a good rapport with most of his fellow housemates, especially the celebrities who fondly called him Shamitabh owing to his baritone voice. But he shared a special bond with Bani, which became an integral part of his journey and also a highlight of the season. They fought, they criticised each other and we saw many ups and downs in their relationship. But Gaurav proved his friendship at every step and stood by Bani at all times. From bleaching his eyebrows to save Bani from nominations to apologising her in the most unique way, Gaurav put Bani’s happiness before everything and went to every extent to preserve their bond. When it came to performing tasks, Gaurav showcased a lot of passion and enthusiasm. His actor image would always get in the way and inhibit him for going above and beyond in any task. As he went along in the game, he proved his worth by performing exceptionally well in the ‘Raja and Rani’ and dome task. During the balloon nominations task, Gaurav drew a lot of criticism from Bani and other housemates for taking impulsive decisions. He was also nominated to grace the Khalnayak Kursi that week and give justifications for his wrongdoings. Even after taking the heat from his fellow contestants, Gaurav took everything with a pinch of salt and continued going strong in the game. Apart from Bani, he shared a special bond with Lopa, Rohan, Rahul, Manu and Mona while he was inside house.
Speaking about his experience on the show, Gaurav Chopraa said, “After years of contemplation, I finally decided to be a part of Bigg Boss and it was a wonderful experience. I went inside without a plan and just followed my instincts. One thing that I was very clear about was that I won’t do anything that I am not comfortable doing and will just follow my heart. But Bigg Boss as a show, totally impressed me, and the experience was quite overwhelming. I believe a part of me is still inside the house with Bani J, though I am a very practical person, I have managed to share a bond with her that is going to stay for the lifetime. One thing I that learnt and will be taking away from the show is to never have any expectations. I would love to see Bani win the show and I will always be by her side in spirit, I would like to thank all the viewers for loving and appreciating my journey on Bigg Boss and making it a special one for me.”
