The 59th annual Grammy Awards were held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles yesterday. Adele took home FIVE GRAMMYS but hey, that was not what stole the show for us! It was her phenomenal speech and extraordinary gesture that made all the difference! The Hello singer broke her Grammy (HER GRAMMY) into two to share it with Beyoncé! You’ve got to be a bit heartless not to have teared up while watching it!
While Beyoncé went into the awards with nine swooping nominations, she took home two trophies. She also shined brighter than the trophies and pretty much every human present there by the way. Drake was awarded for Hotline Bling while Chainsmokers’ ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ won the best dance recording. Maxwell took away the ‘Best R&B Song’ title!
Overall it was an overwhelming night for all the winners, nominees and well, everyone!
