The trailer of Simmba starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan was launched today. At the launch, when Ranveer Singh was asked if his wife, Deepika Padukone had seen the trailer, he said,
“Rohit sir showed Deepika a few rushes of Simmba on my birthday. She doesn’t react a lot to anything in life. When the screen went off, she looked at me and said ‘Hot lag raha hai’.”
This is the first time Rohit Shetty & Ranveer Singh are coming together for a film. Speaking about working with Rohit Shetty and sharing screen space with Ajay Devgn in Simmba, the actor said,
“I am a huge fan of Rohit sir since a long time now. He has made some of the biggest commercial films we have ever seen. I have grown up watching Ajay Devgn. He is my screen idol. Simmba is a dream come true for me.”
He added,
“I have been waiting to work with Rohit sir. You can’t just be in his film. You have to earn the right to do hard work and get a film with him. We got a chance to do an ad that became a huge hit. I thought I will do whatever it takes to be a part of his film. It is something that I have manifested and achieved.”
Simmba is scheduled to release on 28 December.
