III Smoking Barrels is about three stories based in Northeast India. One is about a 14-year-old girl Janice (Shiny Gogoi), who has somehow managed to escape a terrorist camp. The second one is about a boy named Donnie (Siddharth Boro), who gets into drug peddling and the last one is about a man Mukhtar (Subrat Dutta), who kills animals for a living. All the three stories aren’t connected with each other.
The film is very slow and some scenes make you laugh unintentionally. Having said that, it has quite a few moments that stay with you. The last story is especially good. Subrat Dutta is exceptional.
We wish the film was more engaging and give it 2.5 buzzing bees.
