Indian cricketer Irfan Khan is on cloud 9 these days since the birth of his son. The cricketer took to social media to share this happy news and the name of his little bundle of joy.

Minutes after Pathan announced the name the Twitterati went crazy and got agitated over the fact that he has named his son after Pakistani cricket Imran Khan. Speaking to a leading daily, Irfan rubbished the news and said,
“This name is very close to our hearts. Imran is the name of my eldest brother, my mother’s first child, who was very beautiful. Unfortunately, he passed away when he was only three years old. I wanted a daughter because there are no girls in our family, but I had decided that if I have a son, I’ll name him Imran.”
He further added, “I can name my son after anyone… why should I justify myself? Whatever his name is, he will make the country proud like his father and his uncle, Yusuf Pathan. Trolls have a lot of free time!”
A similar incident took place a few days ago after Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan named their son Taimur and were trolled over their unusual name choice.
We are glad that Irfan shut down the trollers in the most dignified manner. We hope the trollers get a good lesson out of this and stop trolling newborn babies over their names.
