I hope I can satisfy her vision and give the global audience the character they deserve in Maan,”

Ishaan Khatter will essay the role of Maan Kapoor while Tabu will play Saaeda Bai, a courtesan. Television actress Tanya Maniktala has been roped in to play the protagonist Lata.
The film is a coming of age story of Lata, a girl whose mother wants to find a suitable husband for her. She is connected with Maan Kapoor through their sibling’s marriage. While he is the son of a politician, he wants to live his life to the fullest. He is infatuated by Saeeda Bai and this is how the trio’s stories progress during the most difficult time in the history of India.
The project will go on floor next month and will be shot across North India at locations like Lucknow and Maheshwar.
On the work front, Tabu will soon be seen in Jawaani Jaaneman opposite Saif Ali Khan.
