The much awaited trailer of Shaad Ali’s Ok Jaanu, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur was launched today. After you get over the fact that the makers chose the most nauseating word for the movie – JAANU, you realize that it boasts a terrific talent package! It is produced by Mani Ratnam, Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, & Apoorva Mehta with beautiful music by A. R. Rahman. For the uninitiated, the movie is an official remake of Tamil film, Ok Kanmani (Which was a HUGE success by the way).
After you have jumped with joy because Aditya and Shraddha are coming back together for a movie & have revisited all your Aashiqui 2 feels, you will notice the music of A. R. Rahman guiding you through the trailer – and it makes for a winner.
The story seems quite simple and also one you might have heard before – Boy meets girl, they have ambitions, they decide to live together… until they fall in love & are standing at a crossroad that could make or break their relationship. Our only hope? PLEASE let it not be one of those cliched endings that we saw in a recently released movie which went all out about being a ‘Different daring love story’!
The trailer is full of loving moments that crackle with Aditya and Shraddha’s chemistry. Shraddha Kapoor dons the hat of a modern confident girl effortlessly & Aditya Roy Kapur is adorable as the boyfriend you wish you had. We’ll have to wait and watch if it lives up to the benchmark that Ok Kanmani created!
