Does the name Pooja Hegde ring a bell? Barely, right? Pooja Hegde, recently made her Bollywood debut in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Mohenjo Daro opposite Hrithik Roshan. The film like we know failed miserably at the box-office and both, the film & the actress, received negative reviews. Pooja, however, has seemingly failed to accept the failure. Otherwise, why would a newbie (with a tanked debut) demand to work with A-Listers only?
Reportedly, Pooja Hegde recently turned down a lead role opposite Sooraj Pancholi in Faruk Kabir’s ‘Allah Ke Banday’. According to sources, Pooja didn’t think Sooraj was an A-Lister & rejected the film because of this.
Now, we’re not saying Sooraj’s first film did wonders for him at the box-office. In fact, there was a lot of negative news around him because of his involvement in ex-girlfriend Jiah Khan’s death. But, rejecting a role just based on his ‘Star Status’ is going a little over board for someone as new as her!
For the ones who have no idea, Pooja is a newcomer in Bollywood but her acting career began a while back. Pooja was the second runner-up in 2010 Miss India Universe pageant & made her debut in South with Mysskin’s Tamil superhero film Mugamoodi in, 2012.
