Priyanka Chopra our desi girl, yesterday celebrated her 36th birthday. The actress who was not in India on her special day celebrated her birthday with her beau Nick Jonas in the West.
The actress introduced a special set of benefits for the female employees at her production house, Purple Pebble Pictures to make her birthday special.
PeeCee has introduced a set of benefits for her female employees including flexible working hours for mothers, maternity leave benefits, a crèche arrangement and monetary assistance for post-pregnancy care, to encourage a gender-neutral working environment.
Confirming the news says Priyanka’s mother and Director of Purple Pebble Pictures, Madhu Chopra:
“Since 80 per cent of our female staff is married, we had to keep their interests in mind. The idea was simple — why should women’s life choices become professional hurdles? The policy of flexible timings for mothers was set in place by Priyanka, but fine-tuned by senior members of our company.”
Adding that,
“Priyanka wanted to create an environment where women feel ‘safe and loved’.”
