Yesterday, the music of Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker & Shikha Talsanai starrer Veere Di Wedding was launched in Mumbai.
The whole cast along with the producers and the singers were present at the event.
At this event, when the producers were asked if they facing any problems from the Censor Board, Ekta Kapoor said,
“Till now, the censor board haven’t given us any issue and we don’t want to discuss it cause we haven’t received the certificate yet, when it does come we’ll issue a formal statement for the same.”
She added,
“Rhea and my dad had gone for the censor certificate which itself is a huge argument in it. This clearly shows that we have made a movie which any of us should be ashamed of.”
When the cast was quizzed about the #iamnotachickflick hashtag,
Rhea Kapoor answered saying,
“This hashtag was born because everywhere Ekta, Nikkhil or I used to go we used to hear, ‘This is a chick-flick na’, ‘Veere Di Wedding is a chick-flick, no?’ What I fail to understand is why is my entire gender under a single genre? Veere Di Wedding is so much more than just one thing, it is more than a comedy, more than a drama. It’s life. It is a film you can’t put in a box. I don’t think any of us could be put into boxes too, so that is what it is, it’s a revolt against labels. It’s ladies against labels.”

The music of the film is truly amazing, and the movie hits the theatres on 1st June 2018.
