Ever since the announcement of the film was made, Inshallah has been in news. The film first made news because it was to be the reunion of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan after almost two decades. Apart from his cameo in Saawariya, Salman had last worked with Bhansali in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999).
The film was also set to feature Alia Bhatt opposite Salman. This would mark the first collaboration between Khan and Bhatt as well as Bhatt and Bhansali.
But today, Salman shared some news that left us – all awaiting the release of this film – sad. Salman tweeted that Inshallah’s release has been delayed. It read:
“The film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is pushed but I will still see you all on Eid, 2020. Insha-Allah!!”

But a while back even sadder news was announced. Bhansali Productions took to twitter and shared the news that they have decided not to go ahead with the Salman Khan-Alia Bhatt starrer. They tweeted:
“Bhansali Productions has decided to not go ahead with In-shaa-Allah for now… Further announcement will be out soon… God willing”

When the film was announced in March, Salman had tweeted a beautiful message
It’s been 20 years but I am glad Sanjay and I are finally back in his next film, Inshallah. Looking forward to work with Alia and inshallah we will all be blessed on this journey.#Inshallah #SLB @aliaa08 @bhansali_produc @SKFilmsOfficial

Alia too was ecstatic and tweeted
Dream with your eyes wide open they say & I did. Sanjay Sir and Salman Khan are magical together & I can't wait to join them on this beautiful journey called “Inshallah” ❤#Inshallah #SLB @BeingSalmanKhan @bhansali_produc @SKFilmsOfficial @prerna982

Inshallah was all set to clash with Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Sooryavanshi on EID 2020. But Shetty shifted the date of the Akshay Kumar film for the betterment of both the projects.
On the work front, Salman Khan is currently busy with Dabangg 3. The film also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan and Pramod Khanna in pivotal roles.
Alia Bhatt will soon feature in Bhramastra which co-stars her real-life boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. She is also a part of Karan Johar’s Takht. Takht stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Jahnvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles.
Let’s wait and see what the future holds and when we will see the three working together again.
