On the occasion of Chandigarh Establishment Day – celebrating 51 Glorious Years of Chandigarh, Surveen Chawla was felicitated by the Chandigarh state government with ‘Icon Award’, on November 1.
Surveen was bestowed upon the award as she is one of the eminent people from Chandigarh who have excelled in the field of cinema, and made the city proud, and brought it on the pan India map as far as cinema is concerned.
Surveen’s popularity as an actor is not just limited to Bollywood but she’s also one of the most sought-after names in the Punjabi film industry. The talented actress, who started her career with television, went on to create her own niche in Punjabi and Hindi films.
