Actor-philanthropist Vivek Anand Oberoi, who serves as the anti-tobacco spokesperson for World Health Organization and who is also associated with Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) for more than a decade addressed a huge crowd at the press conference on World No Tobacco Day.
The Krrish 3 actor who is known to have a large-heart has been associated with several noble causes including girl child education among others, addressed an audience on the consequences of tobacco consumption, urging them to go tobacco-free not just at their workstations but as an overall lifestyle alteration.
Vivek in spite of his busy schedule took out time to be part of the cause that he truly believes in.
Riding high on the success of his debut web series, Inside Edge, Vivek has been keeping extremely busy juggling between work commitments including a show by Balaji and one for Zee TV.
Addressing the crowd, Vivek said,
“I’ve been associated with CPAA for more than a decade and it has been a wonderful journey. It has been an incredible journey. I’m grateful to the family of CPAA that they made me part of their family which has changed my life for the better.”
Neetu Chandra, who was recently invited at the press conference of Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) on World No Tobacco Day (May 31st) at a suburban five-star hotel in Mumbai praised Vivek’s charitable work that he has been relentlessly doing since more than 15 years now.
Lauding Vivek’s efforts towards bringing about a positive change in the society and urging people to go tobacco-free at the event, she said:
“I think we need more good looking guys like Vivek Oberoi who has been doing great work for the society supporting several noble causes, one of it being a no-tobacco campaign. He has always been a huge inspiration and a role model for the youth to take up such causes.”
The prolific actor Anupam Kher who was recently invited as the Chief Guest and Speaker praised Vivek’s charitable work that he has been doing for more than 15 years.
Anupam Kher said at the event:
“People present here have been doing a phenomenal job to create a tobacco-free society. It needs a sense of courage and dedication to take time out from your daily routine and focus on doing something good for mankind. Hats off to Vivek for working relentlessly for 15 years and doing the fantastic work.”
At the event, Anupam Kher also handed over voice prosthesis to cancer patients and he will also felicitate the transgender patients who have given up tobacco.
