Rani Mukerji is a name that most of us are familiar with. She made her screen debut with a supporting role in Biyer Phool (1996), a Bengali film directed by her father Ram Mukherjee. She made her debut in Bollywood in the year 1966 with Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat for which she won a special jury trophy at the Screen Awards.

In this film, Mukerji played Maya Talwar, a woman layered with self-doubt, who questions her relationship with her husband. It showed the urban drama dealing with infidelity and dysfunctional relationships and Rani aced the role.
Laaga Chunari Mein Daag
Rani Mukerji portrays the role of Vibhavari Sahay, the elder daughter who goes to Mumbai to help her family financially. She willing sacrifices everything for their sake. We loved the sincerity with which she essayed the part.
No One Killed Jessica
No One Killed Jessica is based on the murder case of Jessica Lal. Rani Mukerji played the role of a journalist who gives her all to fight for Jessica Lal and her family. We doubt anyone could play it better than Rani.
Mardaani
Rani essayed the role of a policewoman whose interest in the case of a kidnapped teenage girl leads her to uncover secrets of human trafficking by the Indian mafia. We absolutely loved Rani’s kickass action scenes and dialogues in this thrilling film.
Hichki
Here Rani played an aspiring teacher who suffers from Tourette syndrome and must prove herself by educating a group of underprivileged students. Rani proved that she still is a pro at acting with this comeback film.
