Lucknow Central is a story about a musician, Kishen Gidhotra, played by Farhan Akhtar who struggles to achieve big and tries his fate in the music industry but ends up in jail for a crime he didn’t commit. His entire life takes a topsy turvy turn, leaving him with no choice, but embrace the bad luck which has followed him. After spending two years in the jail, Kishen Gidhotra finds a ray of hope when he has another hearing for his uncommitted crime. His dreams are shattered when he learns that he’s sentenced to death, leaving behind all hopes of living a life. Kishen is later transferred to Lucknow Central. It’s Uttar Pradesh’s CM, played by Ravi Kishen who insists for a band performance from the criminals of Lucknow Central, all for his political needs. The man with a plan, Kishen teams up with an NGO worker Gayatri, played by Diana Penty, and promises to perform on the day of Independence, 15th August.
The film is a good watch, which starts slowly and later gears up when Kishen finds solace in music while in jail. We give Lucknow Central 3.5 buzzing bees.
