Ever since YRF has tweeted the first look of their upcoming Ranbir Kapoor starrer Shamshera, we cannot just stop talking about it. As per the first look of the film we are ensured to see Ranbir Kapoor in a never-seen-before avatar.
A few days ago, we posted about Sanjay Dutt, who will be seen playing a baddie in Shamshera, and now we hear that one more star has been roped in to join the team and it is none other than Vaani Kapoor.
Yes! You heard that right.
According to the YRF‘s tweet, Vaani Kapoor will be seen in Shamshera sharing screen space with Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt.
Here’s what director Karan Malhotra had to say about Vaani and her character,
“Vaani plays Ranbir’s love interest in the film and is a very important collaborator in his character’s journey. Her character graph is interlinked to the plot of the filmmaking her a crucial catalyst in our hero’s rebellious mission. Vaani is a perfect fit for the role. She is a fine actor, a fabulous dancer, and a gorgeous Hindi film heroine. We wanted someone absolutely fresh to wow audiences on the big screen and she beautifully fits that brief,” Malhotra said in a statement.”
