The film is so good that it was later remade into Hindi titled Saathiyaa but the original maintained its magic truly.
Dumm Dumm Dumm
In this film, R Madhavan was seen opposite Jyothikha, who is another celeb of Tollywood. The story revolves around an unhappy groom and bride forced into a wedding. The film garnered much appraise and was a commercial success.
Kannathil Muthamittal
This is one beautiful film which has received high critical acclaim upon release and went on to win six National Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards South, seven Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and Best Film awards at six international film festivals. Madhavan has portrayed the character of the father of an adopted girl. It is a must-watch film where Madhavan is absolute winner throughout.

The film won positive reviews from critics and performed well at the box office, prompting the film to be partially re-shot in Telugu and remade in Hindi under the same name. The film tells the tale of two lovers who face obstacles in their relationships. Madhavan managed to gather appraisal for his performance in this one.
Aaytha Ezhuthu
It is a Tamil anthology political drama film written and directed by Mani Ratnam. It is a beautiful tale of people who are in their youths but accessing different paths in their life. The film was simultaneously shot in Hindi as Yuva with an entirely different cast. Though the Hindi remake did not make much noise, the original Tamil version was quite a success.
