Vishwaroop 2, directed by Kamal Haasan himself, is a spy thriller set in different continents and time zones, tries its best to beat the mainstream action films, yet its mediocre storyline puts audiences into boredom.
The first half is a justification of everything that went down in Vishwaroop 1, which was rather unnecessary. Things start to heat up when Rahul Bose re-emerges to take his revenge. He is brilliant as a villain and the only good thing about the entire movie.

The other members of the cast, which includes Shekhar Kapur as senior RAW operative Colonel Jagannathan and Ananth Mahadevan in a cameo as a compromised Indian spy but they serve only to provide the surround sound to prop up a film that huffs and puffs aimlessly and runs out of breath before it can acquire any real pace and purpose.
Vishwaroop is a right example of overkill. It may just remain as a scar on Kamal Haasan’s successful career.
We give 2 Buzzing Bees.
