Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se is a story about two brothers of a middle-class family Amritsar, where Puran (Sunny Deol) is the eldest, responsible, a selfless brother and Kala (Bobby Deol) is Puran’s polar opposite. Puran is the sole earning member of his family and he does it by curing patients with his vast knowledge in the field of Ayurveda which he got from his ancestors. In their house, they are accompanied by Parmar (Dharmendra) who is an advocate and wins cases with his charm. Parmar has the recipe to make Vajra-Kavach; a medicine which can cure every disease on this planet and Marfatia, a greedy and rich owner of a pharmaceutical company wants to acquire the recipe by Sam-Dham-Dand. Cheeku (Kriti Kharbanda), a MBBS degree holder wants to learn about Ayurveda and thus comes to Amritsar from Gujarat and stays with Puran and Kala in their house.
Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se is a failed attempt by Director Navaniat Singh. The action from Sunny Deol fails to leave a mark on the audience.
