You won’t find many films that are as sublime and as nuanced as Manto. The film traces the life of writer Saadat Hasan Manto (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) & how India’s partition deeply affected him. So many things shown in the film are relevant even today. Manto was far from perfect but we can learn so much from his life & work through this biopic. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is simply superb and so is Rasika Duggal.
We give the film 3.5 buzzing bees & strongly recommend that you watch it.
