Pushpdeep Bhardwaj’s Jalebi: The Ever Lasting Taste Of Love, is a complicated yet a sweet love story of Dev (Varun Mitra) and Aysha (Rhea Chakraborty), who bond and fall in love and quickly get married. But, soon after getting married they find out that they want different things in life and after an unfortunate incident, they part their ways.
7 years later, on a Mumbai-to-Delhi train, they bump into each other. That’s when Aysha finds out that Dev is married and has a child too, which leads her to question if Dev ever truly loved her? This tale is a proof that, some people are meant to fall for each other but not live with each other.

Both the debuntants have done a great job in terms of acting and their chemistry is something to look forward to. Digangana Suryavanshi did a splendid job with her role. We wish to see her more on big screens now. Kausar Munir and Pushpdeep Bhardwaj have done a pretty good job with the writing of transitions between flash backs and the current scenes.
The music of the film was hyped even before the release and it lived up to it. Yes, few songs don’t really have the recall value but some like Pehle Ke Jaisa and Pal level up for it. Everything in the movie was designed around Jubin Nautiyal’s song Tum Se and it has worked in the favour of the film.
Adapted from the 2016 released Bengali film called Praktan, Jalebi is a journey you enjoy and wish the destination to never arrive.
We give it 3 Buzzing Bees with a jar of honey for Digangana 😀
