If you have seen Gully Boy, it’s almost not possible that you wouldn’t be impressed by the performance of Siddhant Chaturvedi, the actor who played MC Sher.
The actor was kept out of the promotions till the film actually released. When asked if he was itchy to go out there and talk to people, he said, “No, I was home. I was a recluse. I used to feel happy seeing Ranveer & Alia promote the film. The burden of Gully Boy was not on me, it was on Ranveer & Alia. They both are great. The way they have promoted the film and the way they have performed in the film is phenomenal. It was not required to promote me before the film. It makes sense now that people have seen my work. People have liked my work and that makes me very happy.”
He went on to say that he wasn’t intimidated by Ranveer Singh or Alia Bhatt in the film.
“No, I wasn’t. I was more of a fanboy. I’ve been a huge fan of Ranveer since college. When I met him for the first time, he broke the ice. He was very warm. So how could there be an intimidation? I’m very lucky to be a part of such a huge film and being directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by these people and co-starring with Ranveer Singh & Alia Bhatt. They are really sweet and have been complimenting me. Ranveer was messaging me from Berlin. So it’s just amazing.”
