Emraan Hashmi, who has recently had the privilege of working with Hindi cinema legend Amitabh Bachchan in Anand Pandit’s Chehre is on a career high.
Emraan has reportedly signed another project in which the actor would be essaying the role of IAF officer KC Kuruvilla in his next film Vayusena which will be helmed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte.
Director Vijay Gutte confirmed the news with a leading daily and said that,
“Emraan hasn’t played a character like this before, and he loves such roles. It was an instant nod from him. It’s a human interest story that starts with the 1971 Indo-Pak war and ends with the Indo-Pak Kargil War of 1999. We plan to film at a real airbase, and it’d be great if the authorities allow us to use real fighter planes to present the story correctly and realistically. We are hopeful that the permission will come through soon.”
The actor will be potraying such a role for the first time in his career. It is the story of retired Air Commodore Kariyadil Cheriyan Kuruvilla which begins with the 1971 Indo-Pak war and ends with 1999 Indo-Pak Kargil war.
There are some interesting projects lined up for Emraan for the coming time such as Shah Rukh Khan’s Netflix production Bard Of Blood.
