After a very long and hard struggle, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shweta Tripathi starrer Haraamkhor is all set to release on 13th of January. For the uninitiated, the movie was screened for the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in July last year and was banned for being “too provocative”. Directed by Shlok Sharma, the movie follows the illicit romantic relationship of the lead characters, the teacher (Nawazuddin) and his minor student (Shweta).
If you don’t know this already, Haraamkhor has won several awards and accolades at various international film festivals. The movie also won the Silver Gateway of India trophy at the 2015 Mumbai International Film Festival and Siddiqui took home the award for the Best Actor at New York Indian Film Festival.
The trailer of the movie was released today and it is definitely worth the wait! You can expect brilliant cinema from a talented bunch like these. While Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shweta Tripathi shine in the trailer, it’s the small boy who has a crush on the Shweta’s character and his friend who will bring a smile to your face! While romance blossoms, hilarity ensues as the small boy and his friend try to help Nawaz’s wife deal with all the chaos!
