Rajeev Masand’s roundtable chats are always fun to watch. You get to see some of your favorite celebrities interact with each other and who knows, maybe gain a new perspective while looking at them. This year, the critic invited some of the best of 2016 for his Actors Roundtable Chat.
Amitabh Bachchan, Shahid Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Ranbir Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh not only delivered powerful performances in 2016 but also tried something new with their roles.

This might as well have been one of the best part for the other actors at the table. Mr Bachchan spoke at length about how fickle fame is when asked about regretting the 3 year sabbatical he took. While you may draw a huge crowd waiting to get a glimpse of you today, you might walk into an empty theatre in a few years. The other actors agreed that it was the reality of the job they were doing and everything – from fame to success was temporary
Shahid Kapoor calling out award functions for their ‘editing’
The actor was pretty honest about the way award functions work these day. Makes you wonder, huh?
Diljit Dosanjh talking about being starstuck
Dear God! Diljit Dosanjh might just have been the cutest and most humble part of the entire chat! It was so sweet to watch him talk about what a big deal it was to be at the roundtable with these extra-ordinary people!
But hey, Shahid would have none of it okay?
Sushant Singh Rajput sharing his thoughts about ‘Making It’
Sushant Singh Rajput is a success story in the making. Remember when he was on that TV show? He was always a good actor but it’s his choices that have been him a great and different actor – someone who is making a league of his own! And it seemed like he was still surprised that he had finally made it!
Amitabh Bachchan, however, couldn’t help but gush over his performance in MS Dhoni! We can only imagine how SSR must be feeling!
Ranbir Kapoor talking about the reality check he got.
While talking about how they become the characters, Ranbir had an interesting thing to say about a reality check he got while making Wake Up Sid!
But the end of it, They are all praises about each other and it was heart-warming to watch. From Shahid Kapoor saying he loved Ranbir Kapoor’s ADHM performance to Amitabh Bachchan talking about what a fan he was of Sushant Singh Rajput and Diljit Dosanjh, the actor’s pretty much opened up a fan club for each other and it was quite genuine.
