Padman has been in the news ever since Twinkle Khanna announced that Akshay Kumar would be playing the role of the much talked about character. ICYMI, Mrs. Funnybones has already introduced the character in her recent book, “The Legend of Laxmi Prasad”. The story is based on Arunachalam Muruganantham, who designed a machine to abolish the archaic unhygienic practices of menstruation in rural areas.
Though the release date is yet to be decided, Akshay Kumar has confirmed that Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte will be the leading ladies of this celluloid drama! Both the actresses took to Twitter to express their enthusiasm about the project.
