For starters, Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon’s upcoming film Raabta’s trailer unmasks a romantic thriller spilled over two different lifetimes. The trailer’s clip begins with the introduction of the lead pair – Shiv and Saira. The first half is all about their romantic moments together, while the second half highlights the reincarnation plot.
Interesting plot right? Not really. It’s been done before. It seems like Raabta is a well-shot combination of Telugu film, Magadheera and recently released Mirzya. From the ‘bohemian Indian princess’ part to the weird hairstyles, visually it’s not something you haven’t seen before. While Mirzya was not about reincarnation, it seems that a lot of Raabta’s look is inspired from it. A number of scenes and treatment will give you a quick flashback of Magadheera as well.
Sure, Sushant and Kriti look cute together but the trailer gives a little too much of the plot away, don’t you agree?
Director Dinesh Vijan’s film is all set to release on June 9th, 2017.
