Just a couple of days back there were reports that Abhishek Bachchan has walked out of JP Dutta’s ensemble war drama, Paltan. We are still unaware of the reason behind his exit. But it seems that the makers have found his replacement. And he is none other than Harshvardhan Rane, who had made his Bollywood debut last year with Sanam Teri Kasam.
A source close to the project revealed to DNA:
“Rane, more or less, has the same built as Abhishek, so he suited the role as far as physicality was concerned. His look tests as a soldier got a big thumbs up. It worked out well, as he too was on the lookout for a good performance-oriented role.”
Paltan will be Harshvardhan’s second Bollywood movie.
Apart from Harshvardhan, Paltan will also star Suniel Shetty, Arjun Rampal, Pulkit Samrat, Siddhanth Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Chaudhary, Jimmy Sheirgill, Jackie Shroff and Luv Sinha.
