Fans of VIVO IPL were treated to a RAAZI Super Sunday on the 6th of May 2018, as Bollywood Superstar Alia Bhatt made an appearance in an exclusive segment of Bollywood Presents – Kent Cricket Live with cricketing legends Brett Lee and Irfan Pathan.
The highlight of the show was the duo’s musical performance – who surprised her with a spontaneous song – marking the versatile duo’s first ever musical collaboration off the field.
Alia wasted no time in covering a variety of topics including her views on VIVO IPL, how Dhoni would make an excellent spy and her adoration for KKR pacer Shivam Mavi.
Viewers were also given an exclusive sneak peek into Alia’s upcoming movie RAAZI, which marks the actress’s debut in period films and sees her in the role of a 20-year-old spy from the 1970’s.
When asked about her views on which cricketer would make a good spy, the actress said:
“I think Mahendra Singh Dhoni would make a fabulous spy. His facial expressions are totally on point. For me, Dhoni is perfect for the role of a spy”
Alia was quite expressive in her adoration for VIVO IPL and the opportunity it provided for ‘young talent’ by saying:
“The tournament is a very ‘parivarik’ experience which involves the entire family in a bundle of entertainment. The best part about VIVO IPL is the fact that it gives a spectacular opportunity to youngsters to showcase their talent by giving them a really big opportunity”.
Alia swayed the hearts and minds of Brett Lee and Irfan Pathan as the trio talked cricket, VIVO IPL and the actress’s favorite players in the tournament.
Highlighting her fondness for KKR pacer Shivam Alia Mavi, said:
“I think the KKR pacer Shivam Mavi has a lot of potentials and I really like him. He’s doing really well in VIVO IPL despite his injury. If there is a story to share about young talent doing well in VIVO IPL, it is Shivam Mavi’s story.”
The segment of Bollywood Presents – Kent Cricket Live featuring Alia Bhatt was part of the Super Sunday Double Header aired on the 6th of May 2018 at 2.30 p.m. exclusively on the Star Sports Network. The broadcast hosted by Anant Tyagi was the highlight of Kent Cricket Live and included Australian Veteran Brett Lee and renowned Indian pacer Irfan Pathan.
Alia was seen trying to teach “Binga” Brett Lee one of Bollywood’s most famous dialogues “Rishte me toh hum tumhare baap lagte hai”. The segment also gave fans an exclusive sneak peek into Alia’s upcoming movie “RAAZI” which is based on a fabulous true story.
