Bareilly Ki Barfi, which was directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, starring Rajkummar Rao, Kriti Sanon, and Ayushmann Khurrana was released four months back and was loved and applauded by the audience as well as the critics.
Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Bareilly Ki Barfi was a family entertainer that still continues to hold the same freshness among the cinema lovers.
The year 2017 started for the brilliant filmmaker on a great note as she won Best Debut Director award for her internationally acclaimed film, Nil Battey Sannata at the Filmfare Awards 2017 and as the year has come to an end, the director recently bagged Best Director Jury Zee Cine Award 2018 for Bareilly Ki Barfi.
Based on the French book, titled ‘Ingredients of Love’, Ashwiny changed the setting of the story from France to Uttar Pradesh.

“I’m really thankful to the cast and crew of Bareilly Ki Barfi including cinematographer, writer, actors, producers BR Films and Junglee Pictures, without their support, the film wouldn’t have been possible. I would just request everyone to educate the girl child in this country because you can never say you cannot dream, so doesn’t matter where you are, you have the right to dream.”
