And finally, the ban has been lifted! Ahhh… We have no idea how many of you will jump off your seat with this news but we’re sure Bollywood fans of the neighboring country have a reason to celebrate! Raees, Kaabil and Dangal will end the draught of Bollywood movies in Pakistani theaters.
Bollywood movies will no more need an NOC from the Commerce Ministry in the country before getting a censor certificate. Dangal, Raees, and Kaabil will be submitted for Censor scrutiny soon, and if all goes well, they might hit the Pakistani theaters ASAP.
DNA quoted Censor Chief of India Pahlaj Nihalani saying,
“It’s a welcome move. The exchange from both sides can only mean an improvement in relations. A few days back they returned our soldier. I also heard some actors from Pakistan have been granted visas to come and work in India. Now with the ban being officially lifted on Bollywood films in Pakistan, there is bound to be even further thawing of ice between the two countries.”
All three movies have received tremendous response from their fans worldwide and we’re sure Pakistan will be no less!
