It’s another glorious year for designer Manish Malhotra to associate with Mijwan Welfare Society (MWS).
On his sixth year association with Mijwan, the ace designer is looking forward to showcase the beautiful creations and promises to make this year’s show a ‘Summery’ one.
The foundation was started by Kaifi Azmi naming it the Mijwan Welfare Society. Within a timeline of five years, the foundation has advanced from 40 to 300 craftswomen with the dedication added by Shabana Azmi (taking on her father, Kaifi Azmi’s legacy) along with her godchild Namrata Goyal.
Manish feels proud to generate steady work for the craftsmen all through the year. Later, they work on their creations and send it to the designer which is then modified with embellishments and cutwork. This year’s collection comprises of more contemporary gowns, fringe tops in summer fabrics of net, chiffon and cotton. The ace designer has also shared a sneak peak of a few of his creations for the show.
