That’s what happened with Sonia’s father (played by Adil Hussain), when his life/financial crisis drove him so impotent that he sells his other daughter, Preeti (Riya Sisodiya), to Dada Thakur (Anupam Kher), to whom he owed a lot of money.
Love Sonia is not for the faint hearts, this is a must watch film but don’t watch it if you don’t have the stomach to digest the cruel realities of life. We all are aware of women trafficking across the globe, a trade of women that not only destroys her life but those around her too. But this film brings out the mirror in front of the world and shows us in its pure form, truly raw and brutal.

Every actor in this movie has done a splendid job, being true to their characters. Manoj Bajpayee will definitely make you hate him but at the same time, you’ll be praising his work in Love Sonia. Mrunal Thakur proved herself in her first film itself and that’s a job as near as impossible for many debutants.
Every scene will make you question your being, you might just be more observant of your surrounding, trying to find that small cry of help that often goes unnoticed. This movie creates an unsettling feeling inside you, that stays long after the movie ends.
