Story: ACP Yashvardhan (John Abraham) teams up with Agent KK (Sonakshi Sinha) to investigate the assassinations of three RAW agents in China. Enter Shiv Sharma (Tahir Raj Bhasin), the villain who is causing chaos with a smirk on his face. The chase begins and yes..it’s good!
The screenplay is a winner. Abhinay Deo manages to keep the narrative as close knit as possible throughout the movie.
High octane action sequences will get your adrenaline pumping and the movie manages to keep you at the edge of the seat throughout. First half is crisp and strong, and you’re waiting to know more after the interval. It’s the second half that lets you down.
The twists are a little too predictable but the movie’s fast pace doesn’t let you think too much about the plot. There isn’t an extra song or dialogue added just for the sake of it. There’s a lot of adrenaline rush but you can’t deny there’s also a couple of dull moments in the film.
John is good in his stoic brooding character. Sonakshi plays the role of badass agent really well. Their partnership is fresh and it’s a blessing in disguise that there is no FORCED romance angle here.
Tahir Raj Bhasin’s character is strong and well developed compared to those of John & Sonakshi. His intelligent villainous scenes are the ones you wait for and it’s not a surprise that you kind of root for the bad guy. He is super good looking so it helps a lot. (A LOT) He may be just a film old but he knows what he is doing.
The only thing that doesn’t work is the plot of the movie, which is not really new. You’ve seen this before. However, in the end, you don’t mind spending your money that you spent ages getting from the ATM on Force 2 because it’s worth it. Sure there are parts that need a lot of work but it manages to hold itself together well and is a good one time watch.
We’re going with 3 Buzzing Bees!
