Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh have been in news ever since its teaser was released. The intense romance drama, which is the remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy, is all set to release this Friday.
With just a few days to its release, the makers of the film have received its censor certificate. Kabir Singh has been passed by the censor boards and the film has successfully received an ‘A’ certificate.
The original film, Arjun Reddy, too received an ‘Adult Only’ certificate but was still a super duper hit.
When asked about whether the certification will make any difference in the box office, producer Murad Khetani said:
“I don’t think so. Since it is a film for youth, youth will go to watch it. Anyway, it is not a film for a family audience and kids. So, I don’t think it will make much difference.”
He further added:
“Arjun Reddy was such a cult film. So, we didn’t want to tamper the film for getting the U/A certificate. So, we have retained the essence of the film.”
With a runtime of approximately 2 hours 54 minutes, Kabir Singh is all set to hit the big screens on June 21.
