Bollywood seems to be in love with Hollywood remakes, be it an adaptation from a book, Tollywood or even Hollywood, Bollywood just can’t get enough of the remakes. Hollywood remake of The Fault In Our Stars has been in news for quite a long time and now we hear that it’s confirmed.
But guess who will be playing the lead in this remake?
Well, it is none other than, Sushant Singh Rajput who has been brought on board to play the leading man in the Hindi remake of the hit film.
Mumbai Mirror confirmed this news today. Produced by Fox Star Studios, the Hindi remake will be directed by casting director Mukesh Chhabra and is expected to roll next year.
According to a source:
“Mukesh was the one who introduced Sushant to Abhishek Kapoor for Kai Po Che! He had always wanted to work with him and felt he would be perfect for this film. He is currently on the lookout for his leading lady. Though inspired by the Hollywood film, the script will be adapted to Indian sensibilities.”
To this Mukesh Chhabra confirmed the news by saying:
“Yes, I am on board for The Fault in Our Stars remake. I’m working on the script at the moment. Sushant is the leading man and we are still in the process of casting the heroine.”
Known for doing method acting, we just hope that Sushant Singh Rajput does full justice to this role.
