Last year, Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Naseeruddin Shah, Ali Fazal and Aditya Chopra were among the 928 new members who were invited by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to the Oscars 2018. This year too, four Indian have been invited to be part of The Academy.
Zoya Akhtar, Anupam Kher, Anurag Kashyap and Ritesh Batra have been invited by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to the Oscars 2019.
Anupam Kher is a prominent face in both Bollywood and western film. The actor will soon be seen in One Day, releasing this Friday. Zoya Akhtar has been invited in the director’s category. The filmmakers is still basking in the glory of her last release Gully Boy.
Anurag Kashyap has received the invitation in the Short Films and Feature Animation category. Ritesh Batra has been extended the invite in the writer’s category.
